One Boot at a Time

This black & white print is the depiction of an RCMP member getting ready for parade.  He is pulling on his “high browns” (tall leather riding boots worn with ceremonial spurs).  These boots are normally polished by hand, by every regular member of the Force, to a high gloss finish.  The remainder of the scarlet uniform surrounds the member as he prepares.  The member shown, looks very much like the artist himself, Alex L’Heureux.

The artwork has a wooden frame with appropriate hanging hardware included.  This double matted piece with pewter RCMP Crest above the print represents the attention to detail applied to the importance of this great artwork.
